  1. Bucs fan. Interesting approach & I love linemen, but I don’t think that’s the way they’ll go. The team will likely move RT Dotson to the left side; maybe look for a new RT later in the draft, depending on how Smith likes ex-Bear Gabe Carimi.

  2. Great round 2 pickup, but a linebacker in the 1st won’t happen… the Giants haven’t taken a linebacker in the 1st in 30 years. Jerry Reese will resign Jon Beason at MLB, and J. Williams was graded out by PFF as being one of the top 5 cover linebackers in football. Paysinger’s fine, Keith Rivers played the whole season… on the 8th ranked defense in the league. Meanwhile, the owner John Mara stated “the offense is broken” and coach Coughlin stated their play was “putrid.” They’re at the bottom of the league in rushing, Eli’s on crutches after taking a horrible beating all season, and their OC resigned. They need no less than 2 starter quality linemen to fix that line, and they don’t want to create additional CAP and dead money issues by going FA over what they’ve already got with Baas, Snee, etc. Consider that rookie 1st round lineman Justin Pugh’s 2014 CAP hit is $1.8M, whereas the Giants 2014 CAP hit for FA acquisition David Baas is $8M. Jerry Reese will go OT at 12, and La’el Collins at 43, and pay less than HALF, COMBINED, for those two starters than what he’d have to shell out to get just ONE starter FA lineman.

  3. Not a huge manziel fan but i’d still give this draft an A for the Browns.
Side Note: No way Lee falls to the end of round 2.
