|Critical Factors [1-9 Scale]|
|BIG PLAY ABILITY||7.5|
Needs to clean up technique in run game. Struggles against longer linemen in the run game, will struggle to disengage. Has shown to run himself out of plays. Inconsistent tracking of tight ends. He did have a number of unblocked sacks, inflated overall production.
Marcus Smith will enter draft season as one of the top tweener prospects who has shown he can play in multiple defenses. Good size and speed, with length, who has also showed fluidity in space. Can’t be typecast or pigeonholed into one position or role. Needs to work on pass rush and run defense technique. As a former High School Quarterback, needs to continue to get snaps and develop at the next level.
